Students can exit multiple-choice questions and then resume where they left off. In fact, many teachers have students do a set of 10 multiple choice questions while being very diligent about watching the TEACH ME explanations and taking notes for problem-solving hints. Then students can go to the Mistake Bank and redo any mistakes from that first batch of 10 questions before going back to the multiple choice to do the next 10 questions. So if teachers prefer to break up the multiple choice (especially with lessons with a high number of questions) then they can absolutely do that.
